Tulane University Selects SciQuest to Streamline Spend Management

Tulane University will implement SciQuest’s Spend Director and Accounts Payable Director solutions, to streamline its current procurement process and to enable strong long-term spend management processes.

Douglas Harrell, vice president for finance and controller of Tulane University, said: “We closely examined all aspects of our operating processes to identify ways the university could reduce budget gaps without impacting the educational standards we have set over the years, and our procurement process quickly stood out as an area that could be transformed.

Becoming a customer at the end of 2015, Tulane University is deploying two of SciQuest’s source-to-settle solutions, including:

• Spend Director, to transform a manual and labor-intensive procurement process into an automated center of excellence, delivering significant cost savings and efficiencies and automating the procure-to-pay process
• Accounts Payable Director, to eliminate tedious manual processes, free up valuable resources and present an opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization’s bottom line
