Avalara and Chargebee Announce Integration for Global E-Invoicing and Live Reporting Compliance

Avalara and Chargebee have announced a new integration designed to automate global e-invoicing and live reporting compliance within billing operations.
The companies said the integration will allow Chargebee customers to manage e-invoicing and live reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions through a connection with Avalara’s compliance technology.
The announcement comes as governments in Europe and other regions continue to introduce real-time reporting and continuous transaction control requirements, increasing pressure on businesses to integrate compliance processes more closely with billing and finance systems.
According to the companies, the integration combines Chargebee’s billing and monetization platform with Avalara’s tax compliance and e-invoicing capabilities. The solution is intended to support country-specific requirements, including digital signatures, QR codes, and real-time tax authority approvals.
The companies also said the integration will enable access to international e-invoicing networks such as Peppol, as well as national tax authority platforms.
Meg Higgins, SVP of Global Partners at Avalara, said:
“Global e-invoicing mandates are expanding at an unprecedented pace, and businesses need trusted partners who can help them scale compliance across borders. Our collaboration with Chargebee unites two innovators in AI, automation, and compliance to simplify the complexities of global e-invoicing and live reporting. Together, we're empowering companies to expand internationally with confidence, accuracy, and speed.”
Ashley Goode, VP, Partnerships and Solutions Strategy at Chargebee, said:
“At Chargebee, our mission is to empower every business to drive growth with agile, interoperable systems that support global scale. Our partnership with Avalara extends that vision by embedding global e-invoicing and compliance automation directly into the monetization lifecycle. Together, we're helping businesses scale faster and smarter, with automation that makes compliance effortless and intelligence that drives growth.”
The companies stated that the integration is designed to help organizations:
- support country- and region-specific e-invoicing models,
- connect with e-invoicing exchange networks and government platforms,
- automate accounts receivable invoice workflows, and
- reduce manual compliance processes.
The announcement builds on an existing partnership between Avalara and Chargebee focused on tax automation and compliance within Chargebee’s platform.
Avalara said it processes more than 54 billion transactions annually and provides tax and compliance automation services for businesses globally. Chargebee provides subscription billing and monetization software for businesses operating recurring revenue models.
