Coupa has appointed Mike Lipps as interim chief executive after Leagh Turner stepped down from the role for personal reasons. Turner had served as CEO since November 2023.

Lipps is an operating partner at Thoma Bravo, the private equity firm that acquired Coupa in 2023.

He has previously served as CEO of financial reporting software provider insightsoftware. He also led a division of LexisNexis and spent 14 years at Intuit, where his responsibilities included running QuickBooks.

Lipps currently chairs the board of data and analytics company Qlik and has previously held interim CEO positions at several other Thoma Bravo portfolio companies.
