France has reached a major milestone in its move to mandatory e-invoicing. At the Chartered Accountants Congress in Lyon, the tax authority (DGFiP) and AIFE announced the launch of the consultation service for the national e-invoicing directory.
- The directory, introduced in June, is the central system listing all companies and public entities subject to e-invoicing, along with their approved platform and billing email addresses.
- Already, 80+ platforms are connected and 120,000 companies have their billing details registered.
- The new online service lets users:
- Check if a company is affected by the reform
- See if it has a receiving platform
- Find its billing email address
AIFE also confirmed the upcoming launch of the declaration service for transmitting e-invoicing, transaction, and payment data. Together, these tools prepare businesses for the pilot phase in February 2026, leading up to the mandatory go-live on September 1, 2026.
