OpenPeppol has published the first draft of the PINT AE Tax Data Document, a key technical milestone ahead of the Ministry of Finance, UAE confirming the scope and timeline of the country’s upcoming e-invoicing mandate.

The document sets out how invoices will be reported under the UAE’s planned Continuous Transaction Controls (CTC) model. A pilot with selected businesses will begin on 1 July 2026, with the first wave of the mandate starting on 1 January 2027.

This version (1.0.0) is an initial draft and will be reviewed and refined following feedback from Peppol members. While changes are expected, its release gives service providers and businesses valuable insight into how the UAE framework will work in practice.

The draft includes details on requirements for different parties in the Peppol 5 Corner Model, messaging standards, and how compliance will be measured. It also sets out how invoices, including credit notes and reversals, should be exchanged and validated within the network.

This marks an important step toward building the technical foundations for a connected, interoperable e-invoicing environment in the UAE.

The draft PINT AE TDD is available to review on the OpenPeppol website: https://test-docs.peppol.eu/pint/pint-ae/tddae-review/pint-ae-tdd/compliance/
