Peppol now has more than 10 million participant identifiers, representing approximately 8 million organisations across 121 countries, according to PeppolStatus.

The service indexed 10,154,172 identifiers on 12 October 2026, an increase of 793,751 over the previous 30 days.

One organisation can hold multiple identifiers, such as a VAT-based identifier and a national company registration identifier. The total therefore does not mean 10 million companies use Peppol.

The increase reflects both new registrations and existing identifiers newly discovered by PeppolStatus, rather than solely organisations joining the network.

France accounts for 62.7% of indexed identifiers, with more than 6.3 million. The directory covers organisations served by 337 providers.

At the E-Invoicing Exchange Summit in Berlin this month, André Hoddevik Secretary General of OpenPeppol confirmed there were 8.1 million businesses registered on the Peppol Network, with the recent surge driven largely by the French e-invoicing mandate.
