Tax compliance solutions provider Sovos has introduced Sovi AI, a new artificial intelligence and machine learning-powered suite aimed at streamlining and strengthening tax compliance processes.

Integrated within the Sovos Tax Compliance Cloud platform, Sovi AI delivers intelligent automation to support e-invoicing, tax calculation, and regulatory reporting. The technology is designed to provide enhanced insights, improved accuracy, and increased operational reliability for businesses navigating complex tax landscapes.

“Sovi is not just smart, it is Sovos smart. It understands the nuances of global tax compliance better than any other product or solution on the market. It codifies Sovos’ global tax compliance and regulatory expertise, developed across the 15 billion transactions we process every year in almost 20,000 tax jurisdictions worldwide,”  said Kevin Akeroyd, CEO of Sovos.

Beyond automation, Sovi AI offers self-service analytics, conversational AI, and interactive dashboards to help organizations diagnose issues, uncover opportunities, and make data-driven decisions. The system is designed with “unlimited” scalability, enabling businesses to adapt to shifting regulatory requirements, manage any volume of data, and address complex compliance challenges across multiple regions.

According to Sovos, the roadmap for Sovi AI includes AI-driven compliance checks, “Ask Sovi” embedded assistants, automated goods and services classification tools, and intelligent document agents to streamline accounts payable processes.

Swati Garodia, Sovos’ chief product officer, added: “Sovi AI brings both precision and depth to the complex world of tax compliance. Sovi seamlessly switches perspectives from macro-level global mandates to micro-level transaction risk, helping businesses stay compliant with unprecedented clarity and intelligence."

Sovi AI is already operational across Sovos solutions, incorporating biometric authentication, liveness detection, image recognition, and secure identity verification through the Sovos Trust suite.

The launch builds on Sovos’ recent efforts to modernize tax compliance infrastructure, including a March 2025 partnership with PwC Ireland. The collaboration — an extension of Sovos’ existing relationship with PwC Belgium — is focused on accelerating e-invoicing and e-reporting adoption as government mandates expand across the EU and globally.
