Description
Belgium's e-Invoicing Mandate
Starting January 1st 2026, Belgium will mandate e-invoicing for all B2B transactions for VAT-registered companies. All invoices sent and received (with some exceptions) must go via the Peppol network and in the Peppol BIS format, or one that complies with the EN16931 standard.
Domestic entities must comply, as must foreign entities with a Belgian “fixed establishment” for VAT purposes. As part of the Belgium Roadmap, real-time-reporting will be in place in 2028.
How to Prepare for Belgium's e-Invoicing Mandate
Some challenges lie ahead. This webinar looks to address them – and provide you with a checklist so all your bases are covered.
Use this webinar as your framework to understand how Belgium is different from Germany, Spain, Italy and France, and what businesses need to do to comply. This webinar will unpack:
- The “big bang” approach, and the impact of cancelling the “phased approach”
- How Belgium will use the PEPPOL Network – how this B2G network, that has been expanded to deal with B2B, will cope when Belgium comes online
- The key differences between a 4-corner model versus the more popular 5-corner model
- How manual and PDF invoices will not be accepted as of 23:59 31st December 2025
- How the model will disrupt your business efficiency
- The plus points of the relatively simplistic Belgian approach in leveraging the existing PEPPOL network
- How to weigh the differences between Access Points
If Belgium is part of your roadmap, ensure you register for this webinar today to establish a deeper understanding of this country’s unique requests.
