Tax software company, Avalara has announced it is adding 100 new job positions at its office in Durham, North Carolina.
The company currently employs 400 staff in its Durham office and, although it operates under a hybrid work model, has said it is committed to hiring workers within driving distance of the office. The majority of these roles will be in sales and project management with the bulk of the company's engineering talent remaining in Seattle.
Avalara was acquired by private equity firm Vista Equity Partners in 2022 for $8.4billion. The technology company provides state of the art tax-compliance software that helps companies navigate the differences in sales tax rules across the country.
