Costa Rica Extends Deadline for Electronic Invoicing Compliance to September 2025

Costa Rica’s Ministry of Finance announced a new deadline for taxpayers to implement the latest version of the electronic invoicing rules. Originally set for 1 June 2025, the deadline has now been extended to 1 September 2025.

The three-month extension aims to give taxpayers and developers additional time to adjust their systems and ensure smooth compliance. It also supports the broader digital transformation of Costa Rica’s tax system.
