Coupa has announced Amazon Business joined the Coupa Advantage Program to deliver significant cost savings on thousands of highly used products as part of Coupa Advantage. The program offers streamlined access to millions of goods from Coupa’s trusted suppliers at pre-negotiated rates, helping finance and procurement leaders quickly identify savings opportunities, improve spend visibility and efficiency, and eliminate maverick spending.
Coupa Advantage, which pools the purchasing power of Coupa customers to deliver savings at scale, now includes Amazon Business as part of its supplier network. The partnership enables Coupa Advantage customers in the U.S. to access discounts on a selection of thousands of Amazon Business products, along with a 50% discount on Business Prime plans for a 12-month period. Customers in Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, and the UK will also benefit from a 50% discount on one year of Amazon Business Prime.
“At Amazon Business, we have both a supplier relationship with Coupa for our mutual customers, while many of our own employees use their platform every day – so we know first-hand the true value of Coupa,” said Mobeen Khan, Director, Global Partnerships and Business Development, Amazon Business. “We are excited to continue our strategic relationship and to collaborate to help our customers achieve their purchasing goals, streamline the buying experience, and unlock even more value.”
Greg Harbor, Chief Partner Officer at Coupa, highlighted the significance of this expansion. “From the start, our collaboration with Amazon Business has proven to be a dynamic success and welcoming them to the Coupa Advantage Program is a natural next step in our journey. We recognize how valuable this addition can be for our Coupa Community. At a time where businesses are challenged to do more with less, we are working together to deliver the cost savings, control, and operational efficiencies that our customers need most.”
Amazon Business has been integrated into the Coupa platform since 2017 as an Open Buy partner, allowing customers to seamlessly purchase products while benefiting from Coupa’s spend management tools. This integration simplifies procurement processes and gives organizations greater control over their spending.
Cheryl Ponzeka, SVP of Accounting and Financial Operations at Veterinary Emergency Group, praised the benefits of Coupa’s integration with Amazon Business. “With Coupa, we’ve transformed our operations by streamlining processes that empowered our team to work and spend more efficiently and effectively. This allowed us to expand rapidly, opening multiple new locations without significantly increasing headcount, while driving substantial revenue growth. Migrating to Coupa brought many benefits, including the integration with Amazon Business, and we’re thrilled by the growing partnership. It provided complete real-time visibility to our purchasing activities, helping us monitor risk and compliance, while optimizing our spending power.”
With more than 1,200 customers benefiting from the Coupa Advantage Program, the addition of Amazon Business further strengthens Coupa’s offering. The recently launched Coupa Advantage Marketplace ensures quick access to a wide range of goods at pre-negotiated rates, helping businesses maximize savings and improve procurement efficiency.
