Pagero and Thomson Reuters have announced a go-to-market partnership to help tax departments simplify their e-invoicing processes. Pagero and Thomson Reuters will now offer customers Pagero’s Smart Business Network for e-document exchange and CTC (Continuous Transaction Controls) compliance, and Thomson Reuter’s ONESOURCE Indirect Tax products jointly.

It is estimated that, by 2025, 80% of companies around the world will be forced to evolve to e-invoicing, either by legislation or by customer-led requests from buyers and suppliers. Pagero’s global business network for e-document communication simplifies e-invoicing and promotes digital transformation in finance by enabling multinationals to standardize and centralize invoice handling processes.

“We are very excited to see this partnership evolve, and I look forward to bringing this joint offering to market. The investments and commitments Thomson Reuters is making demonstrate the significance and potential of the e-invoicing and CTC developments in the market. We see this partnership as an enabler for our business which will accelerate our expansion journey and bring us closer, serving more customers”, says Alexander Jansson, Vice President of Partnerships and Alliances at Pagero.

Pagero’s Smart Business Network will be fully integrated with Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE for easy deployment to existing & future Thomson Reuters customers – thereby enabling global e-invoicing and financial reporting through a single interface.

“E-Invoicing and CTC regulations and mandates are expected to be the future of indirect tax controls, allowing regulators to control transactional compliance in real-time while enabling companies to accelerate digitalization and automation”, says Chris Carlstead, Head of Partnerships and Alliances at Thomson Reuters. “As our customers face an ever-evolving regulatory and technology landscape, Thomson Reuters’ priority is to provide them with the content-enabled technology to help them succeed. By combining Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Indirect Tax and Pagero’s Smart Business Network, we are bringing a new and unparalleled offering to market that will enable our customers to be at the forefront of digitizing their processes and creating efficiencies for their indirect tax compliance systems”.
