2 Tips For Shared Services Talent in China And Where to Find it

It’s interesting to hear how many shared services organizations are setting up domestic shared services in China. Especially manufacturing organizations.

One speaker from a chemicals company was talking about his experience. He gave two interesting tips worth noting:

1. He said look for cities where the Big 4 have set up. Piggy-back on their geographic assessment – they would have scoped out the top cities to find the ideal location based on the availability of talent.

2. He also mentioned it is potentially very hard to find really good managerial talent in none-port cities, so bear this in mind when making your location choice.

Setting up a shared services in China is a huge undertaking, and it certainly helps getting ‘lessons learned’ from someone who’s lived it.
