Citi Service Center Celebrates 10 Years in Costa Rica and Announces New Jobs

As part of its growth strategy in Costa Rica, Citi announced that it hopes to continue generating more employment opportunities. This news was communicated during the celebrations of the tenth anniversary of the Shared Service Center, better known as Citi Service Center (CSC), which operates in La Ribera de Belén, Costa Rica, where it provides services to other Citi offices worldwide.

The Shared Service Center was established in Costa Rica 10 years ago, with Citi attracted by the country’s economic stability, education levels, as well the country’s strategic location.

Morella Ramírez, Shared Service Center Manager at Citi Costa Rica, said “ten years ago, we started with 25 employees and an investment of US$500,000. The growth over these years has been exponential. Right now, the cumulative investment of the Citi Service Center in the country exceeds US$47million.

“Costa Rica has opened the doors to offer a service of the highest quality to other Citi offices internationally. From Costa Rica, we have shared best practices with the network of service centers, which positions us favorably and we hope to continue growing,” 

On March 3rd, the company will hold a job fair in its offices located in El Cafetal Corporate Center, in La Ribera de Belén. It will be recruiting bilingual English-Spanish professionals for different areas including; Accounting, Economics, Finance, Technology, Audit and Risk Management, Compliance, Human Resources, and Supply Chain. In 2017, the Chamber of Commerce of Costa Rica awarded the Citi Service Center in Costa Rica with the ‘Best Service Exporter of the Year’ award, recognizing its vision and commitment to the country’s growth.

Also, this year, in the framework of the tenth anniversary of its Shared Service Center, Citi Costa Rica was authorized by the government to use the country brand Essential Costa Rica, to promote values that Citi shares with Costa Rica as

Excellence, Sustainability, Innovation, Social Progress and the Costa Rican Origin.
